REGIONAL PARTNERSHIPS ARE ONLY AVAILABLE TO NGOs AND STATE AGENCIES WHO HAVE DISCUSSED their PARTICIPATION IN THE SOUTHERN MEAT SUMMIT WITH CONFERENCE ORGANIZERS.

All other interested partners are encouraged to check out our sponsorships page for details on how to be involved with the Carolina Meat Conference.

HERE’S HOW IT WORKS

The 2024 Carolina Meat Conference is traditionally organized and held in North Carolina by NC Choices, a program of the Center for Environmental Farming Systems at NC State University.

This year, we’re transitioning the conference to include other southern states as part of the regional meat summits network around the country.

The 2024 conference will serve as the Southern Meat Summit.

Our conference organizers are excited to invite partners from other states to support programming and marketing and join us for the event!

WHAT YOU’LL GET

As a Regional Partner for CMC, here’s what you’ll get:

  • One comped ticket to the conference for an attendee of your choice

  • Up to three scholarship placements for your organization’s network

  • A ticket for the State Partners Happy Hour during the conference, to meet other Southern agencies working to support niche meat production

  • The opportunity to contribute to conference programming and resources

  • Recognition at the conference (logos in the conference program, promotion on our website, etc.)

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Joining as a partner is simple and will require approximately 20 hours of your time between August 2023-July 2024.

  • Help us source conference topics and speakers by either participating in a virtual brainstorming session or filling out a short programming form (September 2023)

  • Share conference marketing materials (including newsletter announcements, blog posts, print materials, and/or social media posts) from January - June 2024 to support registration efforts

  • Share the volunteer opportunity with graduate students or others in your network who may be interested

  • Support conference programming by making introductions to speakers and sponsors who may be a great fit

HOW TO GET STARTED
